The Bataan Peninsula State University (BPSU) received from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) equipment for food packaging funder the agency Shared Service Facility (SSF) Program.
BPSU President Dr. Greg Rodis and DTI Bataan Provincial Director Nelin Cabahug led the signing ceremony of the turnover of the equipment held recently at the former’s office.
BPSU Vice President for Research, Extension, and Training Services Dr. Hermogenes Paguia said, formally donated to the university are the equipment stand up pouch filling machine, single chamber vacuum packaging machine, bottle capping machine, can sealer, and printing/labeling equipment for packaging.
The university has research projects involving various food products development.
Teresita Magatanong, DTI Bataan information officer, said the equipment has actually been long in the possession of the university. Rodis expressed gratitude to DTI Bataan for the donation.
BPSU Director for Extension Services Dr. Bernadeth Gabor and DTI Bataan Division Head Connie Sanico also witnessed the ceremony.
